Dodgy roofers. If you recognise this number do not pick up. They are a scam and charge you and extraordinate amount for a poor job and do not follow up on any remediation work required.

I was waiting for a call when this one came through. I never answer, just keep silent, as they are not suppose to speak until you speak, so the line was quiet, until some boy started shouting hello. Straight away I knew from his tone that he was a call centre caller so I kept quiet. He then shouted "oh, how childish, answering the phone and not speaking!!" Life insurance caller from a London based company. My number was passed on to them through an Indian call centre claiming I was entitled to PPI. Indian call centre asked for bank details from the start of call then passed through to this UK based life insurance caller.

An Indian lady called "April" said she was from BT and wanted to know how we were getting on with our internet connection (we do not use BT either for phone or internet). I told her I did not think she was genuine and could I call them back once

It is a number where they are trying to get your BT details so they can hack your account! I asked BT about this and they said that they are getting loads of people asking what it was all about.

Called me today (28 April). "David" gave me the usual spiel about 'they have been receiving messages for the last two weeks from my computer that it is infected' (or somesuch). I gave them my usual reply about having to talk to my IT consultant, and could they give me a number to ring back. (At this point he rang off, as these jokers usually do.) Given collective knowledge about these people I have no hesitation in marking it 'dangerous'

Called regarding a shares account, tried to convince us to allow access to our computer. Refused shared access and she agreed to send the web address to access the account, tried to convince us by sending another $350 we could withdraw our account balance of $700 Absolute scam.

SCAM. Call from an Asian-sounding woman called 'Liz'. Knew my name and address and said she was from Domestic & General and my washing machine warranty had expired. I told her I've never had a washing machine warranty and that she was a scammer. She hung up. Scum.
