Normally don't answer the phone for numbers not recognised, but was expecting a call from a Leeds no. so took the plunge. Anyway, the person at the other end of the line explained that they worked for an 'Energy Hub'(*) and that I would be entitled to a free energy survey - which included an internal/external assessment of my property to see if any energy savings could be made ... all on the back of the cost of living/energy price rises 'fear' ... SCAM automated recording saying I'd authorised two large payments and to press 2 to flag these (presumably then it takes you through to the scam call centre where they demand banking info)
Scam. tried to sell something, then when I said not interested, asking where they got my name and number, they changed what they were selling, becoming forceful. I kindly said that they should remove my details from their list and not call again, suggesting they were acting illegally, because I am listed in the TPS, then they slammed the phone down on me.
Plan.com I answered promptly, but a message saying if I need to talk, call 01952 780573. So why call from a different number? Seem to be trying to sell telephone services.
Scam automated voice call telling me it was HM Customs & I was wanted for…at that point I cut off the call and blocked their number.
