Annoying call from this and different ending numbers , mostly silent , todays was an asian sounding lady called "ANNA" something to do with a company called GALLOP , told them not to call again , it will be ruder next time

I was actually phoned by the number 01172948771 (but the internet can't find a number to match), but I was told I could call back on 01413679893. Claiming to be UK Energy Tariffs/Together Energy/Direct Energy - I got all three names in the course of a single phone call. Definitely trying to get my bank details off me, because apparently, I can't get this energy deal on their website, which they gave me as being ukenergytariffs.com but seems to be for South Africa if you look at the privacy statement.
Call center -operative claimed to be from Virgin Media Technical Services; said he needed me o take my (landline phone) into the room with the computer, then turn it on, so he could do something to my router, to "give me the speed [I] was paying for". I've had at least four calls from these guys (with heavy Asian accents, to the point of not being able to be understood); it is the same script, but the calls have come from a number of different phone numbers in the West Midlands. Who knows
