Foreign callers claiming to be from Accident Helpline. Ask if they can speak to person who had road accident. Last week I asked them to remove my number (registered on TPS), was told no. Spoke to a Manager who advised he would. Just had another call. Guy just hung up when I mentioned about last week.

Keep getting a different mobile number every day same person calling first it was a government agency about credit being written off

They are based on wharf industrial estate in bury, Manchester and Blackburn. The staff who call have no idea, nor choice of who they ring as the system selects a number at random from their data, and only when the line opens do they see your name and address etc. They are legitimate in terms of what they are offering (a free hearing frequency test at your local football club/hotel) however, if you will receive any money should a claim be successful is questionable. Following up a comment that this number might be Friends of the Earth, I emailed FoE and was told the number is a fund-raising agency called Listen, used by FoE. At my request FoE has deleted my number. I suggest that anyone who keeps getting calls from this number also contacts FoE via the Contact Us form on the website, to ask for their phone details to be removed so no more calls are received.
