I was getting some stupid survey calls from this number three-times a day for over a month. But when I visited the site other day, I saw a response from the company responsible for those calls and it promised to stop calling if I call their grievance cell at 02036300278. I did exactly that and now I did not get a single call for a week.

This number called me after I had placed a request for a tradesperson to do some work for me. His accent sounded very artificial as if it wasn’t his normal accent. He may have been genuine but I don’t think he was. It is showing as a number from Russia and I live in the UK. He said he would come this evening to look at the work that need to be done. He would not take any details about where I live but wanted me to text them to him. I have read that 0738 is associated with scam calls so did not text.

Whoever they were, they couldn t bring themselves to speak to my answering machine. The fact that I am registered with TPS and they shouldn t be calling me in the first place seems to be beside the point. Needless to say all callers only get my answering machine unless they introduce themselves first.

They called 6 times today purporting to be from Telephone Preference Service. They plainly are not. A bit disturbing that they had both mine and my wife s name and appeared to know which card we had used to set up BT direct debit.

Rang the number twice & both times it said it was Renault UK with a courtesy call. They must have changed from National Money Savers! Renault definitely don t save you money lol!
