Also similar number called me recently (01158240559 with pension review offers), probably the same marketing company? don't wanna call back since I do not know the number - it could be just a robocaller testing if my number is responding, don't want to let them know my line is active... Strong foreign accent asking me to confirm my name and address. I asked where got his information from. He proceeded to tell me he was doing a survey on household appliances. I asked again where he got his information from as I am TPS registered and ex directory. Also told him that I do not appreciate being questioned by unsolicited phone calls. He said something along the lines of, "Oh, TPS, this won't happen again". Very hard to understand fully. Suspect some sort of scam.

Wanted to refund me £24.99 for a cold calling blocking service obtained from BT 4 years ago. Knew my personal information such as name, address and postcode. Wanted my sort code and account number. When I told them they were trying to scam me they hung up, which confirms their intentions. Block number, you have been warned!
Does not tie in with any published Natwest numbers on their website though so I'm not calling it.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers - unclaimed bank charges, PPI, uncalimed financial services. I would recommend to block the whole 08437243xxx range... Did someone answer this number?
