SCAM received phone call this morning in the form of a recorded message purporting to be from the Fraud Office, although which bank wasn’t stated, advising that a charge of £300 and an international payment of over £1000 had been made to my account. Asked me to ring a given number if the charges were not mine. Hung up and called my bank using the number on the back of my bank card to ensure the call was genuine. Upon speaking to the Bank they confirmed that the initial call was NOT from the bank.
