Had 3 calls from this number over past week. They start with an indistinct recording of my name and address, then switch to another recording inviting me to confirm or deny same by pressing 1 or 2 on my phone. Have ignored the requests as there has been no info given as to who is calling. Number obtained via 1471.

Phone rang and then caller (a computer) hung up, when I didn't speak! Suspected computer call trying to sniff out voice lines. If you answer, then the line is detected as 'a voice line' and usually will be routed through to a sales person, or you'll be called back later by a sales dude. They're usually trying to flog or get you to sign up for house insulation or a house insulation survey based on a government scheme.
