I then called it back, first it went to a recorded message , "Your call is important to us" after which it then got answered by a lady who explained that it is nothing to worry about. They are a pensions company and asking if I had paid into a pension before and that they could help me get more out of my pension.

  	1134199990	Been called by 0113 419 9990 numerous times over the past 3 days. I answered the call today to be told it s about my pension - and they could see its frozen. The lady was called Becky (thats if they use their real names) who wanted details of my pension, which I wouldnt give, she tried to convince me there was nothing wrong but I said how did know who she was, I said I would leave it and deal with it myself - she hung up!! So much for trying to convince me she was genuine. These scams are really getting out

I was not convinced by their offer - independent financial review of pension with free legal adviser present? she said they had been set up by the Industry in light of all of the complaints. I wouldn t disclose any details from a call like this - they wanted policy details. When I interrupted and asked why he was calling me and where had he got my number from, he said "I have a database, your number is in it and there is no need to be rude sir" and hung up! Actually, the scandal here is that someone has provided or "acquired" my (and countless others ) mobile telephone number. If THIS were made a fraudulent act, these "telemarketers" would not be able to operate.
