Old scam - after your data to sell onto other criminals who disregard the law. Just hang up. Good reporting them to the ICO. You don t even need to know their name, just their number. so far these scammers have phoned me 4 days in a row, 6 on day 1, 3 times day 2, twice yesterday and so far twice today.. When they actually do speak or you hear something.. its either a recording telling you your about to be disconnected from BT and press 1 to connect to bt.. premium rate number.. or you get a indian claiming to be from bt, or they just keep saying hello before putting the phone down.

the first call the woman wouldn t say if this was a sales call. then I was called back by what seemed to be the supervisor who said they had been given my details by a non existent organisation. I terminated the call.

This is a faux number (as in faux fur), as it's got too many digits i.e. it's a spoofed / fraudulent / scamming / junk caller. :-)
