Robotic Amanda called to ask about recent car accident. Took a long time to respond. Told her this is the line for mountain rescue. Asked her how she got this number. Robot Amanda says she will remove the number from their database.

Very clever using a local(ish) number to call instead of the usual Manchester one. It s the aftersales team at AO.com pretending to confirm delivery but they actually want to sell you insurance. They think they are clever but being smarmy and telling you how you can t possibly be without a machine in the event of a breakdown etc and how awful it would be for you blah blah! Very boring, very irritating just block!

SCAM / SPAM Asian sounding man called from world web services about the errors on my Windows media server. He called me a liar and told me to download some software to prove to him that I am not running Windows but a Gnu/Linux desktop. Like hell I will, why do I need to do anything to prove to him that I know everything he says is a lie. Even more so why would I want to download and install anything like teamviewer or whatever it is they want you to give remote access to them nowadays. I know I am
