Strange call from 01299 208082 ID not withheld but i think like others PPI have handed my details on..
have been getting these calls regularly, once daily for several weeks. I usually ignore the call when my caller display shows this number. Last week I rang 1471 for the hell of it and got a recorded message -your wine club tried to contact you. I am actually a Laithwaites member and use them when I want to order wine. These calls seem to be part of a wider push to bring in more sales. However the recorded message also gives you an other number to ring if you wish not to receive further calls. This is 0800 6

Rang me twice. When I picked up they said it was from Curry’s PC world, saying they had a promotions for phones and asked what phone I was using now. I said I wasn’t interested, and they hung up without saying anything else. It was quite hard to hear as their environment was loud, sounded kind of like a call centre in India. I’m not a Curry’s shopper so I doubt the legitimacy of this, probably a scam.

Advised calling from Total Energy saying they are our supplier for a location we haven't been in since 2010. At the end when he just wasn't getting it he told me to f*** off. I have been patient and tried to steer them right many times before, but not again. Normally they just hang up which is rude enough, but to get that at the end of a 5min call I took the time to take, absolutely disgusting.

This is a scam. They are saying they are from BT, however the following is true (as I worked for BT for 36 years). 1 - BT do not ring you on a mobile number (unless and engineer has an appointment at your house that you know about). 2 - The phone is registered to Vodaphone, BT do not use any other networks for their own use. 3 - He could not give me my BT account number. 4 - He said he was from Millenium City London, this mobile number is located in Manchester! SPAM Rung numerous times a day over several days - each time from this number and similar - Energy green company - each time no thanks remove me from your list, they're supposed to do that if you ask them to. Not this company they keep ringing day in day out 5/6 daily from this number or similar, it's harassment, I keep blocking their numbers eventually I'm sure I'll get them all blocked.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily.
