SCAM This number called me and told me that they could see I qualify for discounts for my appliances . They said they could see I haven't claimed in the last 3 months for my easter and i pay monthly and they could offer me a better price. I explained that they couldn't as I haven't got any insurance for my washer with them. They just put the phone down but really awful that they pretend they have your details to con you into changing to them
had a call and voicemail saying it was HMRC and if i didn't call back there would be legal consequences. Looks like the number is in Walthamstow, London but it rings like it's in the US. AVOID

SCAM - When you answer the call you get an automated message stating that you National Insurance information has been compromised, the messages asks you to select a number on the keypad to speak to the Legal Dept. to ensure legal action is not taken due to fraud. I have contacted HMRC they are aware of the SCAM you do not need to contact anybody - BLOCK THIS NUMBER and/or report to phishing@hmrc.gov.uk

Yesterday and today I was called from 01761453627. I immediately recognised the code and first two digits of the second part of the number because I used to live in a village with the same code, 01761, followed by 45; the same as our old landline. The caller said he was ringing from BT's "unwanted call blocking service". The villages that are served by "01761 45----" are fairly small and do not have BT offices so I soon became suspicious, I questioned where the man was c
