Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618147xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, accident chasers, RTA - claims of all kinds. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

Contact the CrimeStoppers hotline (UK) on 0800 555 111 and let them know people are being scammed or harassed continously. Received automated calls on land line (which also identified my name ) about fraudulent use of debit card and asking me to press any button to run checks. I didn't do this and instead called my bank from a different phone (in case of phone scam). BoS confirmed it was not them. Sounds like a scam to me where if you press a button on your phone when on the automated call it holds the line open and the fraudster will be on the other end of the line when you think you are actually calling your bank and getting
