As others have found when you answer after a moment or two you get a female voice simply saying "goodbye". This is most likely a "pilot" call to see if the number is valid, by answering they know it s a live number which they can sell on

It s an automatic reminder of clinic appointments, 7 days before they re due. I get similar thing from my dentist. You can reply with STOP to opt out but I don t think it s a bad idea - my appointments are months apart.
Received a number of unsolicited calls offering legal assistance for an accident I apparently had. News to me!

I had this same automated call saying hmrc and I owed taxes, pay or be arrested absolutely disgusting that these people prey on vulnerable people

Fraud I was phoned from a number (07868714968), an automated message stated that my national insurance number was linked with criminal activity and will be suspected, press 1 to speak to an officer or be arrested... (not the exact wording). I did not press 1, stayed on the call, and it disconnected a few seconds later.
I was called yesterday and told that SMS legal have gone into liquidation.... along with my ?495 they took 1 yr ago ... I have started a charge back claim . I knew it was a scam the minute I paid out the money ..... feel a absolute fool
