On my husbands mobile,when he returned call because our area code he received message 'your call is important to us please hang on' sounds like a call centre.
Said they weren't selling anything and would only take 20 seconds. He babbled something I couldn't understand and then asked a survey question at which point I said you've had 20 seconds and hung up.

Well this is some landline from Manchester area, I couldn't find any info for this specific number, but there are two facts : people do search for this number which can be seen from different similar pages, and there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated, all the same 016176801xx) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Probably calling with different offers for different comapnies, but for sure some general call centre. People did someone answer it?

Phone call offering me a new phone and contract with massive savings. When I asked question that the caller was not prepared for or on her script she became very confused. I gave her false information about my phone, contract cost and provider and asked more questions that she could not answer she hung up. Number now blocked.

This number keeps ringing us ref our drainage ? We live in a council house and if anything should go wrong we ring the council . They say we have a policy with them when we don't . And it doesn't matter how many times I tell them this they still keep ringing . At one point I picked up the phone and didn't say anything and someone was laughing on the other end of the phone .
