They just phoned my elderly father-in-law on his land line and luckily my husband had just arrived at the house when they phoned. They told him that they were the National Crime Agency and that there had been fraud on his bank account. They said that he needed to transfer ?11,000 from another account to sort out the problem and he would give the details of the account that he needed to transfer the money to. Received call today, didnt answer and they didnt leave voicemail. I now have more than 50 blocked numbers in my phone and it is still rising. The real issue here is that there are so many of these calls around, that to me, the phone has become an almost useless device as personally if I dont recognise the number or it begins with 0843 or similar or worst of all UNKNOWN, I just ignore it.

Scammer ....called at 6pm said he had three simple questions to ask ?? then wanted to confirm house number and postcode so i just gave him the runaround till he hung up !!!!
