call initially not answered but rhe number called back a few minutes later. Turned out to be a company offering domestic appliance insurance .When asked for name, question hedged and not answered.Asked where they were located and told Bournemouth, and when told I had called a Newquay number the lady said they were definitely in Bournemouth. Mysterious what. Thought other people would like to know.
Number claimed they were from the national crime unit. Probably a scam

SCAM Claimed to be from BT technical department because there was something wrong with my connection. When asked what was wrong he told me that he needed to speak to me about my connection because it wasn't running good enough, I then said oh! Is the the part where you ask me to turn on my computer so that you could take control of it? Line went dead lol
I was called by this number claiming to be from HMRC informing me that I was about to be arrested for tax fraud. Recorded message asked me to press 1 to speak to someone. Some sort of scam?

This number sent me a text message saying that they have identified some unusual activity on my online banking account asking me to log in to https;//0nlineoersonal-direct2.com to verify my account. Well, for a start I do not have an HSBC account, and looking at the link. I can see that they have typed in digital zero for the beginning of the link instead of the correct O. This is obviously intended to scam money from your account. BE VERY CAREFUL and delete this message if you receive one.
