These guys call saying they are from EE and offering special deals. Then they asked for my personal information. When I questioned why they needed my data they stated that the number they called on (which appeared on my handset) if listed on the EE website under the security section. I hung up and checked. No such number on EE s website, so I call a contact I have at EE and she checked and stated the number is most definitely NOT EE and I should not treat the call as an EE authorised call. This number has called me a number of times don't speak just silence for approx 2 minutes.
I have had several calls from this number repeatedly today, when I pick up it's all I can hear is what sounds like a child being silly.

This number called while I was out today. I rang it back later and got a message that it could not accept calls. My caller display indicated that it was an "international" number. Because it was clearly not from Liverpool, I set my call blocker against it. I note that it has subsequently rung again. My blocker rejected it.

SCAM This number called my 86 year old mother today, getting her so traumatised she was shouting & crying which is when I took the phone. The person was insisting Mum has a 3 year fridge/freezer insurance, that she pays yearly & needs to pay final year. My mum doesn’t own a fridge/freezer. In the end I told her to put it in writing & send to me. I’ve got to check mum’ bank in case they’ve ever taken money. There will be legal proceedings.
