Automated calls made at least once per day (sometimes more) demanding you call back a premium rate number and quote a reference number they give. Voice has gaps designed to make you think you are speaking to a real person to begin with (e.g. Hi there I m calling from Buchanan Clark And Wells You must call me back on quoting reference . According to UoB website this number shouldn't be calling for student fundraising so this is likely a scam. "Our Student Fundraisers will call you from 0121 678 1000, but please note that this number is outgoing only. If you receive a call from a Student Fundraiser, they will be able to send you a verification email while you are on the phone to them. This email will come from giving@contacts.bham.ac.uk – a University domain email account."
