Telemarketing - I received a call from this number asking if my telecommunications were all working so I asked if they were calling from Virgin Media as they are my supplier and if not is this a sales call and they hung up. Please beware as they are obviously looking for business they didn’t even introduce who they were from so very dubious and unprofessional

I recieved a phone call advising that they are working on behalf of a client and could i confirm my name and date of birth. i refused and asked who they were and they refused to give me the information. when i asked again and advised that i would call the police they put the phone down. very scary and dark conversation.
22/08/16 Same issue -got contract of employment through and offer letter but luckily havent paid for the security check but am concerned personal data being comprised. Reporting to trading standards tomorrow
