Experiences as others . I just spoke to BT - evidently this is an international company beyond the reach of TPS, using the 01603 290004 number as a dummy call ID to mask the fact it is an international call so that it doesn t appear as International on lines with Caller ID. Is generally believed to be a scam aiming to get access to bank account details for the purposes of defrauding. Nothing BT or TPS can do - Government are the only ones with the power to stop these types of calls.

Call center - answered this call this morning.... greeted by a woman obviously from a call centre who said she was from an energy company, and then talked about the Help To Buy scheme, then moved on to say I had my own property... which I don't... a lot about this phone call doesn't make sense.
Rang asking about a barclaycard pre 2009, I said no. Hung up on me.

Called office wanting to talk to our IT-manager. Was vague and did not introduce herself. After asking, she informed me she was calling from Dell, but gave no further comment. Since we are an Apple-only business and she was vague, my spider senses tells me to block this caller.

An oriental sounding woman said she was from Virgin Media offering speeds of 100Mbps in my area. She had an old address for me, which I corrected. After promising to send a survey team around next day to confirm the deal, she wanted my bank number and sort code!! I said "You must be joking" and ended the call. I did 1471 and researched this number, which proved to be dubious. When I dialled it, got N/U tone.
