REALLY HALIFAX. IGNORE THE PEOPLE SAYING THIS IS A SCAM THEY ARE 100% WRONG. Turns out my emergency credit card had a fraudulent payment on it. I’ve never used the card so Halifax must have leaked my details, which is highly worrying. I was called by 01131132840 today 15/12/14, Indian sounding lady, telling me she has been tracking my use an can see my Computer has various problems, virus etc and that she can help me, usual rubbish. knowing that she was going to try and access my PC to either download virus or steal my personal info I asked her sarcasticaly do u need to remotely access my computer?! She answered I m not saying that and immediately hung up on me!
Totally bullshit company. The operator gets almost upset when you refuse his advice. I have had numerous calls, all routed through a Liverpool exchange number (01513752326). When I confirmed their location as Manchester, and when I questioned why through a Liverpool exchange, got all defensive. Hard sell agents, harassing isn t a strong enough word. Illegal should be more of a description! Block the numbers, never ever trust this company.
