We have friend's numbers programmed into our phones. If the phone rings and no name is shown on the screen, DON'T answer it! They can always send an SMS - they have my number anyway! Never, ever answer an incoming call from an un-recognised number. This number is on documentation relating to a complaint letter supposedly from Bank of Scotland. No complaint made looks like it wants you to phone the number where I suspect charges will be incurred. It is a scam and the second one I have received. Address does not tie up no phone number like it on bank website letter unprofessional.

Trusted to answer as it's a number local to me. Turned out to be an automated message claiming to be from VISA payments to say that my card had been charged £300 to Amazon and £1100 to Western Union, encouraged me to press 1 to dispute charges. Decided it was going to be a phishing scam and hung up.

SPAM Total Review - life insurance company. Caller definitely had a "British" accent (though I know there isn't just one - he was definitely a native English speaker though) but really didn't annunciate when he was speaking so I struggled to understand him. He backtracked several times when I called him out on what he was saying. Was rude, dismissive and persistent despite me keeping saying I was not interested in talking with him about my life insurance - all in all a pretty horrible experience

SCAM CALL. Claimed to be from sky. Knew I had Sky package said I had technical issues. English not their first language. As a test I said no I don’t have technical issues, I don’t even have Sky! Her tone changed and she said “you do have sky the way you know is to look at your dish outside” Asked me to confirm details and I just felt suspicious. Her tone was really sharp and demanding saying I needed to confirm my details so they can fix the problem. Hung up and called Sky from my phone. they confirmed=SCAM
