Robo call made to sound human....accident scam

Asian woman asked if I was Mrs D. I asked 'who is calling'. She said she was from a telephone blocking service and asked if I was getting unsolicited calls from land lines. I said 'I'm getting one right now' and hung up.

Hung up when I answered.

SCAM. I've just switched phone contracts around a month ago and these clowns called me up offering a 'super deal' on an iPhone with free data, calls and messaging for £40. Very strong indian accents, I repeatedly asked them who they were and who they thought I was. I was passed to a 'supervisior' who couldn't tell me who I was. A genuinec call should ask if they are speaking with the account owner. When i called them out for being scammers they got a bit short. They eventually rang off. AVOID

As someone else has commented. 3 calls one after another at 21.20, from Halifax asking about pin verification and key in the code. I do not bank with Halifax!!

Some female called Alee Gella from Microsoft UK office in Reading called this afternoon and advised me that there was a problem with my computer, which is quite amazing as there is no computer in the house they called! I asked for her contact number and she advised me that it was 888dca60fc0a11c. Having managed to stifle my laughing I asked her politely to remove the telephone number from the list and never call the number again as she was breaching DGPR and that I was aware that the call was a scam. Automated call Another scam from Amazon informing me to hit button 1 to get put through to one of the criminals at the other end who want your bank or credit card details as confirmation who you are. I believe the number though has been randomly generated and belongs to an innocent party.
