I too hit the link about Sean Connery, got this message with the spoken text - Microsoft - dangerous virus - we'll have to block your computer to stop it infecting our servers, blahblahblah - and clicking on the checkbox to make it go away has no effect. So, like your correspondent above I powered down then up again after a couple of minutes. All fine. Don't fall for it.
Rings regularly but hangs up before I can ask who it is.

I took this call for my employer his lordship, the caller did not leave their details so did not pass on the callers request they asked whom I was told them I was his Lordships butler and the caller just kept saying the same word over sounded like oh or why could not make out the callers voice I was told to just hang up to which I did, I would advise anyone to do the same action.
Claimed to be calling from harrison charles (a wealth management company), wanting to discuss changes the government made last year in respect of pensions. The number on my display was 01916719985 which comes up a number of times on Google as unsafe.

Service reps do nott turn up for appointments and when they eventually do so they try aggressive sales techniques to get you to enter a contract even though they have been told not at the outset that I do not want one. Rang and after one ring it stopped. I suspect this number is being used to ring numbers to identify if they are in use. Every number that it successfully rings at least once is then added to a list to sell to scum bags for dodgy telemarketing purposes. Utter scum. Block it if you can.
