Was bored and made up some data, they they pass you to someone who tries to sell you a policy. They quote the FCA many times - but when pushed confirm they are not regulated by them. They call me to sell me iPhone 13, for £30 per month, They said will pay all my obligations to my previous Phone service provider it is roughly £500, and I will pay nothing. I didn't trust them and close the phone.
Well this was interesting! 028 4067 1515 (Banbury) just rang, it is Saturday at 10:55am. I did a quick google while the phone was ringing and came up with the Anglers Rest pub in Banbridge. Weird (I have no connection to the area) but seemingly legit. When I picked up, the caller said he was calling from Currys/PCWorld with a cheap mobile phone offer. I said I don't need a new phone and he said thanks and ended the call. The whole "using a legit number" is hella sneaky!!
