I called this number back and linked to an answering machine which informed me I was calling Friends Of The Earth. I never continued the call so I can not say whether it was a 'safe' number or not.

SCAM National debt help line, have rung so many times with different numbers. Asked to be taken of their list more time than i can remember ..... have now blocked 18 numbers claiming to be them.

This number called me claiming to be bank security and that 2 transactions had been requested from my bank. One for Amazon for £200 and an international money transfer for £900. Press 1 to authorise or hold if you haven't made these transactions. I hung up.

Information 07355 118732 sent me a text message. HSBC: Direct Debit successfully set up to EE for 183GBP, if this was NOT YOU call us on 01313785729. I don`t bank with HSBC, but anyway, tried to call the number given. This just rings for a couple of minutes then get a message saying the mailbox is full. Therefore, both the mobile and landline numbers given are SPAM.

Automated call Called by this number saying that this is a warning that some money will be taken from my account today. I have never heard of a bank that calls a person without the person calling forst so it is obviously a scam. Not sure how they scam, but I have blocked this caller now and it will be blocked forever. Just be aware and check your passwords etc on your bank details.

Answered because it was a local number, it was a recorded message informing me she was from Visa protection (or some such) and a £300 payment to Amazon and £1000 and odd to elsewhere were pending, press #1 for help if I had not authorised them. SCAM!!! We had a ‘New Customer’ approach us and ask for a quote so we sent over a New Customer form to make sure we could offer a credit facility. They filled in the details of a reputable company so passed the credit check. However, when it came to payment due date, the phone number they provided no longer works and emails are coming back with an automatic reply each time from various different email addresses. I have searched each of these email addresses and they show up on a few scam websites.
