2022.07.18 at 13:37 my phone showed ‘International’, with the number 0049 1375 381293, which looks like it came from Germany (0049), but with a local code that was the same as my own ((0)1375)... anyway a recorded message claimed it was from 'bank security', that two large withdrawals had been made on my account, inc one from Amazon, and that I needed to press a particular number to speak to them. This is obviously a SCAM and an ATTEMPTED FRAUD..

Got a call from 07477139663 claiming to be HMRC and stated that a letter from them was not delivered and I will be persecuted unless I press 1 to speak to an agent... I am not convinced this is how HMRC operates so I hung up. Second time this has happened within the last week

Automated voice says this is a bank alert, there have been two charges on your card , it then gives the details of the ‘transactions’ one supposedly for £200+ on Amazon, the other a bank transfer for over £1000. Then asked to press one or two depending on whether you have made these payments or not.
This checking service seems useless. Entered 07800007512 but it then drops the first zero when you press enter, so no use as a checker.

SCAM - initial recording warned my electric was going to be shut off in a few minutes. When I transferred to a "representative" it was what sounded like an Indian man. He asked my name and verified my address. Funny thing is, my electric bill is in a family members name. I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. The woman calling from this number presents a very convincing, elaborate payment SCAM and claims to be a Lawyer in the United Kingdom, representing a "President of a large Italian company." The name or pseudonym used of the so called lawyer is Vikki McKay.
Called my mobile while I was driving. Although I have hands-free I did not answer because it was an unrecognised number. Once home I looked it up on several sites; on other sites other people have left reports of a scam, fake calls purporting to be Virgin Media etc. I have blocked the number.

This is a recorded message saying that 2 transactions have been made on my account withdrawing around £1500. It's was obviously a scam so I just put the phone down. I often wonder what their mums think!
Hi Everyone. I wasn't sure whether this message was spam or not, so I rang up Causeway Hospital switchboard and discovered that it was 100% genuine. They put me through to the Validation Team and they had all my details and these were correct. The appointment had been made 2 years ago, so that's why I wasn't sure about it (basically, due to this long covid-related delay, I'd forgotten all about seeing my GP back then and being referred on).
