I did not press 1 as this did not feel this was safe and believed it to be a scam. I feel HMRC would not contact you in this way

Claimed to be from National Crime Agency and had plans to suspend my national insurance number. If I didn’t press 1 my details would be passed on to be arrested.
Usual scammers. Indian sounding woman who said her name was Amber and then started prattling on about my washing machine. Told her to get a proper job and stop trying to scam people, then I hung up.

I was called by this number at 08:18 this morning by someone claiming to be "Amazon Prime" (recorded message) and invited to be transferred to cancel a subscription ('press 1'). The person then asked for my details and, when questioned, told me that it is not possible to contact Amazon directly or my bank over this. The conversation stank so I discontinued the call.

I have been called three times today from this number - the caller claims to be calling from Amazon and asking me to respond by tapping numbers. I have not taken any action as I believe this to be a scam.

This number is very interesting as it appears to be coming from the uk but I have caller display on my landline and underneath the number it comes up as 'international'...
Claimed to be paid by Microsoft, insisted I switch on my computer which supposedly had a virus. Resisted and argued when challenged, became abusive and continued to try to persuade me (but failed). This crap company has called about 4 times in past couple of weeks. Each time I requested that they remove my number from their database as I think they re dispicable, low life, preying on the vulnerable. A friend who had a car accident was totally taken in by a similar company, as they called the day after her accident, so she thought they were from her insurance company.
