An automated female voice, purporting to be from Amazon, said I had ordered an iPhone and should press 2 if I wanted to talk to someone.
Recorded message regarding large international transfer of money connected with Amazon. Press button one for the usual reCONnection. Like many other calls similar to this one, they seem to have their origin north of Manchester even though it is an international call. Another one for the collection...
This is a catfish number .they say they are a soldier in the British army who need help with their business at home.. they send pictures of them in uniform..
Sneezed at me as I answered. Claimed to be from Vodafone but was quite incoherent. Not convinced they're from Vodafone at all.

The number identifies the message as RoyalMail contacting me. The mispelling of Royal Mail is reason enough to be suspiciouss. The asked me to click a link to redirect me to a web page to arrange delivery of a parcel they couldn't deliver. I have nothing on order and I am sure Royal Mail would not mispell their own name or contact me from a mobile. 100% a scam if like my elderly mother, you now look these strange numbers up online before responding.
I returned the call and it was for the British Heart Foundation regarding collection of furniture that I was asking them to collect (March 2023)

This number would appear to be à Plymouth number. However it is a recorded English voice about payments I have tried to make to Amazon and an International Money transfer.it is clearly a highly dangerous scam and similar to a call I had the other day from a different number with an American style voice. Some clown demanding to speak to an IT manager. Gave the name of someone who doesn't even work here ! Turned out he couldn't even phone the correct company. As if any sensible organization would pick up the phone to complete strangers enquiring about their IT systems ! Almost certainly some kind of scam. Number blocked.

The caller said we had banned loft insulation. Even though they didn't ask if we had any or which kind. They said we had to let their surveyor come and inspect the loft. I asked several times who they were and she kept saying we work with lots of companies. I said I would get it looked at myself and hung up.
