This was a recorded message to say illegal activity had been on my internet which would be cut off in 24 hours. I was to press 1 to speak to someone. Clearly an attempt to get into my computer so cut it off.

SCAM / SPAM Pretending to be BT informing me that my broadband had been hacked and service woukd be suspended within 24 hours.
He asked me if I had invested some dollars on 21/8-2021, no, I said but I have done an investment in EUR, on 27/8 2021. OK, he sad and began talking about this investment instead. I have been scammed for 4 500 EUR by a company called Qteck. terrible persons who should be put in jail. And I do not seem to be able to get it back. Now it seems like my money is gone, if not the person I talked to fills his promises

If this is such an important service why don't they leave a message with a contact number, or do they expect you to sit next to your phone 24hrs a day?

Asian sounding guy, rabbiting at speed about who I was and telling me my details, barely caught a word, then says BT will call to save me money on my Telephone and Broadband, then hung up immediately, never asked was I interested in any possible savings, not even the basic pleasantries of asking how I was etc... Just quick fire rabbit rabbit rabbit, BT will call me, click, all I can say is, if this was anything to do with BT, they are now less likely to be getting my business than they were before.

Phoned telling me they had a cheque to send for refund of bank charges. Had my name and address, wanted my date of birth. When asked which bank were refunding charges just repeated UK Financial Services. Told me they would cancel cheque if I didn t give date of birth. I said that would be fine and hung up. Its time uk phone numbers were stopped from being given to overseas callers.
