SCAM: Fifth identical call today, once an hour, from different phone numbers (probably all spoofed) Automated female voice, claiming to be from BT Internet Dept, who have supposedly been trying to call me urgently, because of ‘suspicious activity’ on my account. Got a call from this number, can’t find any search about this number. Too noisy! First said it was from Sky, (knew my name and address), said my contract ended now in begin of April, I corrected saying it was only next month. Then she said they needed to do some checks to see if they could offer me a better/cheaper deal and asked me how much I pay monthly. It was when I said if you’re from sky you should know how much I pay. it was when she said she wasn’t from Sky but from UK utility something. I hung up

I keep getting calls from this number:- +441616673230. Typically, they ring off before I can answer. I ve tried ringing back and a recorded message tells me "not to worry" and that they will call me again later. There are three Google pages about this number and no-one knows any more than I do!

Shortly after completing an online purchase I received a voicemail message saying it was from Central Scotland Fraud Prevention and wanted me to ring them back regarding suspicious activity on my bank account. On calling the number on back of my card for 24 hour banking I was told that no suspicious activity had been noted and that call received was fraudulent.
