It was originally carried by the UK network, Orange, until that network was folded into EE, along with all other Orange numbers. First being activated in 2001, this number was attached to a Philips Saavy mobile phone for the duration of its activity. This is another number used by "Alex from the Solar Centre" It is a SCAM, bot ! A cleverly set up bot that can make some sensible replies to my enquiries. e.g. Q Are you working from home? A < a standard response> Please can you repeat that. But then went back to the same old preamble about 4 free home installations in the Dorset area, which it had said 3 times this week already .Each time I block the number, it pops up from an other one!

Call received from this number today, 27 February 2023 @ 10:16. I did not answer, but they left a message, which I felt was an attempt to trick me into responding in order to avoid paying unlawful requests for several hundred pounds. I believe this to be a scam call from someone pretending to be from Amazon.

Claimed to be from BT. I have no dealings with BT and as I was not addressed by name, can only presume this a scam and therefore a dangerous call.
First half the call I thought I was talking to a real person, said they were from some housing repair scheme and said I'd submitted a damage claim. The second I said I had not the voice changed to an automated response in a totally different voice saying Thank you for your time, have a nice day and disconnected.

This number is being used to carry out impersonation scams through WhatsApp. Serious pressure being exerted claiming to be a family member in financial trouble. Fraud carried out via a Metro Bank Account sort code 23 05 80 using various account numbers and Metro Bank don't seem to be concerned. Has been reported to own bank and Action Fraud. This number is causing untold distress and needs to be taken out of service.
