SCAM - automated call - reported for tax evasion apparently
SCAM Recorded male voice claiming that an HMRC Tax Fraud case has been opened against your name and you need to "press 1" to get connected to an agent, otherwise ... blah blah blah, I hung up
Was called by this number early in the morning with an automated message regarding an Amazon Prime subscription I had not renewed and was going to be charged £95 because of this oversight. I could press one number to speak to an adviser and another to contest it. I did neither as it was clearly a scam. Interesting that this was a landline - it makes me wonder if they forgot to press 'number withheld'. Would think this could be investigated
