SCAM automated message from "bank card security" about two high value transactions. to get these nonexistent transactions cancelled you are supposed to press 1. And no doubt give these unidentified people all your bank details.

SCAM TAXES / HMRC SCAM Claiming to obtain me money from HMRC totally arrogant and rude when called out Certainly not a genuine business!

SCAM First I received a silent call from 028 8505 1239 (to verify a working number?) Then within 5 minutes, I started getting whatsapp messages from a very attractive female profile asking when I was going to visit her using the number 07727214429. Looks like a scam to me.

Claimed to be from BT and talked about updating the cloud. Suspicious as we don't have anything cloud based with BT.

My elderly father had a call this evening at 7pm from this number advising him that £95 was due for his prescription charges. He does not pay for his medications. I will telephone the company who owns the number tomorrow to make them aware that someone is using their number for illegal purposes.

Robin called. Sounded foreign. Said he was calling from the call blocking and scam department. When I asked what company he was calling from he said "the national call blocking company limited" i said there was no such thing. Curious how this was 24 hours after "microsoft" called me and I told them I didn't believe them..... Told him the only legit call blocking was The Telephone Preference Service, and he hung up.

AO aggressive aftersales, using a no-doubt masked number. Female caller asked me to confirm my personal details - I refused given they had called me! It was framed to confirm my order, but was essentially a very sharp practice way to try and sell insurance. I asked if there was an issue with my order - she said 'no' very unconvincingly. Scam phone call pretending payments taken from account,not first to come from a Merthyr landline, if you ring it later it don’t exist, seem to ring in mornings about 8-25 am .

25/04/2023 Call from this number. Claiming to be Barclays Bank, very poshly spoken female telling me fraudulent activity on my account etc. kept them busy answering my questions, until they put down the phone. Quite sophisticated scam - beware
