I have received 3 text messages from a number claiming to be BTBusiness asking me to call them back at this number or text STOP to 60251. As I don't have an account with BT at all, I've ignored them but 3 messages in 3 days is a bit annoying.

They said they were from HMRC. That I was due a refund due to my tax on a ppi claim. I have never claimed on a ppi form. I asked them to put the information in the post, they declined saying they don’t use the post. I then said we’ll send me an email and if you are HMRC you will have my email address. They then said if I changed my mind to phone them. Very strange

This company claims to be an Escrow service provider. IT IS NOT - check out the registration numbers with HMRC, FCA and Companies House. The “parent” has been dormant since 2019. Do a Whois lookup of the domain name - you will probably see that the website went live in the last few days / weeks
SCAM This is a proper scam. They are pretending to be ee and they are trying to give you an update. They knew some bits about me when they called but I got suspicious when they started asking for bank details. They changed my account password and ordered an iPhone 14. I called ee straight after I spoke to them as I was suspicious. It turns out they even changed my email as I couldn’t access my account anymore!!!!!!!

I gave them my name, dob and address as they requested it to confirm their details. I became suspicious when they asked for my bank sort code and account no so they could amend the direct debit. I phoned this number back, and get through to an automated message saying that if I wish to speak to their customer service centre - then please phone another number (I didn’t bother writing it down)… No identifying company name of ID was given…
Automated call - Didn't answer, then got a 5s voicemail of a Liverpool accent (phone had auto-identified dialling code as Liverpool) saying "ah right, OK, well we'll take you off our list then". I suspect this was an automated response after my voicemail "answered" to say not available, leave your message etc. and voicemail recorded tail end of the response. Crafty.
