"Mark from Windows Support" called me to tell me that my computer had been attacked by a virus. I was pretty sure at that point, because most of the time it is up to you to call the company if you have a problem with your computer and not the other way around. Anyhow, I figured I play along to see where this is going and they told me to click Start - run - cmd and then to type in a code that would give them access to my computer. Other similar sites reflect that this is a scammer - between 2 other sites I looked at, calls started from this number about 4 or so hours ago and the number has been searched almost 1,000 times!
A scam call (standard visa dept suspicious payments scam) told me his name is Oliver Reed and I should call 02081447612 which he said was the number for "Nat West Anti Fraud Dept." I checked, it isn't. So I suspect the number is to the third-level scam master.

Answered this number. Had to say hello three times before someone who named herself as Lisa said she had a record of me being in a car accident. I said no you have incorrect info. She went quiet for a few seconds then proceeded to say how did the accident happen and I said no you do not have the right information and in the middle of me saying please take my number off your system she just hung up. Tried calling back to complain but surprise surprise the number is not recognised.

Woman claiming to be called 'Daisy' calling from the diesel emissions team. Asking for someone called Ray Shell. She had an Indian accent and promptly hung up when advised there is no such person as Ray Shell on this number.

It s a company called Boost energy. I rang the no to check, but didn t engage. They have rung everyday for over 3 weeks now, leaving silences on my answermachine. I won t answer, so expected them to give up, but they don t I m on Telephone preference for a reason! I find this really harrassing.
