SCAM automated claiming to be Tax fraud investigation

The caller told me i was involved in a car accident that wasn't my fault. I haven't been involved in a car accident at all.

First of all they are phoning from a number that shows up as 01326, this is local to my area but there is no way on earth they are from here. It looks like a trick to get people to answer a local call. They claimed to be the "Pension department" when i pushed them on this they eventually gave a real company name, but i didn't understand the person on the phone properly but it was "???? financial services ". At this point i got fed up and told them to remove me and not call back and

SCAM Automated message purporting to be from HMRC claims you have a tax fraud complaint raised against you and if you do not immediately press 1 then the police will raise an arrest warrant in your name today. Was pretty scary for an automated message even knowing its a scam, the threat of arrest was very convincing.

This 4th time I have a call from this number. A man voice saud us calling from Vanquis credit card. He wanted me to confirm my name for security reasons. I said why would vanquis want to call me cant the write and how would I know its Vanquis. He the said if I say my email he will say my dob and I say my post code and he will say my home number. So I told him I do not trust people on the phone asking private information abd he just cut me off without explaining the reason or if they are going to write me .

Seems to be used for some really wide-scope telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 118328xxxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with very sophisticated robocalls, sometimes classical RTA - ''you have been in a car accident'', sometimes Microsoft support - general computer support, in most cases unsolicited. Overpayment of Income Tax Fraud... text saying you're due a rebate, with a scam link asking for your bank details to repay it. HMRC wouldn't refund small amounts as quoted, they adjust your tax code for following year.
