THE NUMBER 01752 937106 CALLED ME 0N THE 30th OCTOBER 2014 AT 1125 HOURS. NOBODY ANSWERED WHEN I SAID HELLO. I ENDED THE CALL IMMEDIATELY.

spoke to man calling from VPC - told me I had been in an accident, PPI call, when I informed him it was a company telephone number, he hung up!!!!!

rang mine and then the next number in the office. Same as above, someone on the other end was talking to someone else, hung up as soon as I answered.

Phoned my mobile and said her name was Kelly and she believed I had been in a car accident.

Had two calls from this number in the last week but no-one speaks, then hangs up but I feel it might be a call centre as can hear a voice in the background.

A female voice claiming to be from Microsoft went through a rigmarole of getting the Event Viewer up. I disconnected from the internet and obeyed. She then tried to tell me that these messages were all about hacker activity on my computer, then asked me to use Run to load Internet Explorer, which I do not have on this computer and I relayed the message "Windows cannot find iexplore". This number called with message about "every house needs to be done by 2016" plus "we are in your area" last week - some solar panel scam. Didn t answer - the message is recorded on my answerphone. Same message from 01316483485 yesterday - same result. This lot have probably rented fake numbers from a major phone company which offers them on its web site. Some firms offer call centres numbers which give the person called the idea that it is a local call.
