SCAM Not that it is very dangerous to have someone call up and say they have found a problem with your computer unless you give them more than the time of day, but it is definitely annoying.
Rang today and listed a stream of debts I DON T have. Hung up on me when I pointed out I have no debts. Thick Indian accent, didn t ask any security questions and also failed to tell me the name of the company twice - he got confused both times so god knows where he was meant to be calling from. This call said it was from BT concerning my router but they could hardly speak English so I hung up and blocked the number
SCAM Received a scam text about a fictitious Hermes parcel, with a fake website link to "reschedule delivery". The website is definitely not the real Hermes website, we're not expecting a parcel, and everyone's in at the moment.

asked for his no. name (damon) last name he did not know what his last name was??? called me from 01999 999 999 asked for mr and gave me mrs name when pushed, total wrong postcode etc after quite a long call (saved someone else from this person) he told me i was a stupid man for wasting his time. (who rang who?) DO NOT DISCUSS PERSONAL DETAILS WITH ANYONE WHO RINGS YOU, YOU RING THEM.

Someone claiming to be from BT saying my internet had been compromised. They knew my name and address. When I accused them of being a criminal they replied "Of course I'm not, you idiot". Any doubts I had about their authenticity vanished at that point!
