Claimed to be from the telephone preference marketing service. Had lots of my details, tried to tell me that his company worked for BT. I got fed up. Told him I wasn t prepared to give him any details about card details etc and I could do what he was trying to do on my phone - which is exactly what I was going to do with his number. Notice I had a lot of calls from odd numbers today so perhaps the scam is to make lots of nuisance calls and then phone up and offer the service..

I rang back this number and the auto said you’ve reached ‘I love my office‘! Don’t know this Name or number so blocking it.
Was a woman telling me she was from an official government agency, and that my bank were frauding my "platinium account".
I got a call from Michelle Williams from CFS Group and she asked to speak with CEO. She claims it’s not a sales call but “a revenue tax and trade supply matter”. When I asked if she was in contact with the CEO before or if she has his contact details, she replied negatively saying “no, this was just brought to my attention”. She asked if the CEO can give her a call back.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16181895xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with Accident Department, Microsoft rep, MCM Solicitors from Manchester, road traffic accident, PPI... Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Asked three times the name of the company and each time he mumbles it so no idea how it was but as soon as I said I was in contract as was every other person in this house he hung up without saying another word. Number blocked.
Started by addressing me as though they knew me, alaways a bad sign. Finished the call there and then.
