SCAM highly likely. Red flag to call on a non working bank holiday and leave no message. Also nobody has our new home phone number - so must have got it from a spam call list. Proceed with caution.

+44 7874 401675-missed call No message. Had many calls from numbers starting with 07874 & each one with different ending after years with no unrecognised number calls! Not a coincidence- scammers or robocallers for telemarketers. Whatever they’re selling -they’re wasting their time!
Received a call from this number today asking me for my work ID number. Refused to provide as the person who did not identify himself when calling my private phone number. Asked from where he obtained my number got no answer. When calling back, person did not take call. Going back to base explained the incident to my manager, manager called this number from the office landline caller took the call and was still demanding the ID number said he will get it anyway and hung up.
Call center. My wife answered and said no thank you and hung up. They phoned straight back and when my wife answered they hung up. Think they were annoyed with her. ????

Apparently from BT technical department, reporting of people interfering with my internet, foreign accent. Told them I would contact my local BT office, did not appear to like that, then I just hung up.

Asked for a "Mr. Raymond"; when informed he had the wrong number, he requested my name to add to their caller registry. I declined, and he tried to tell me something about investing. I ended the call early by saying I had stuff to do. Overall the guy on the other end was very respectful and polite, and had a very mild Indian accent, so I think he might've been legit. Of note, however, is that my number is a Canadian number.
SCAM The guy knew my name but wanted to "verify" my address and I didn't want to do that threfore he snapped cursing me. Obviously I started cursing him back and he eventually hang up. BEWARE!

It’s a Vienna, Austria, number. No idea why they called my mobile as I didn’t answer the call. Call came in at 8.15am which is too early for a legitimate business call.

SCAM Fraud SCAM Absolute scumbags who have been preying on my elderly mother for years. They 'sell' unnecessary appliance insurance such as TV or washing machine cover, household wiring cover, and boiler cover, often at extortionate amounts higher than cost of replacement of appliance for new. Once they have your bank or card details, they set you up for additional policies you didn't want, often for appliances you don't even own. I doubt there's actually any cover in place. They ignore repeated requ
