Recorded message says it is PayPal and that they have noticed 2 payments this morning that I have made for large sums of money and to ring 1 ,2 etc if not me and 3 to listen to message again. I ignored it as was busy, just rang the number and spoke to a poor lady that said she has had several calls and she lives in Hull and it is obviously not her. She was very apologetic, not that it is her fault. Surely the Telephone service can stop this from happening.

A female voice claiming to be from Microsoft went through a rigmarole of getting the Event Viewer up. I disconnected from the internet and obeyed. She then tried to tell me that these messages were all about hacker activity on my computer, then asked me to use Run to load Internet Explorer, which I do not have on this computer and I relayed the message "Windows cannot find iexplore". Called my mobile and then landline number and a man with a Liverpool accent said they had been passed my details and they were calling about an accident I d had. THEY PHONED MY SHOP TODAY SAYING THEY WERE FROM METERING DEPARTMENT AND MY GAS METER WAS GIVING FALSE READING OF OVER £6000, THEY WANTED TO SEND AN ENGINEER TO CHECK IT BUT NEEDED MY CONTRACT NUMBER. I ASKED WHAT THE METER NUMBER IT RELATED TO, BUT THEY KEPT ASKING FOR CONTRACT NUMBER. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THEIR MANAGER AND THEY HUNG UP. BY THE WAY I DO NOT HAVE A GAS SUPPLY AT MY BUSINESS.

JTM called to make an appointment and I missed the call. I had complaoned that hey had not called me previously. you cannot call them back as they answer and ask how they can help but as soon as you say anything they pretend they cannot hear you and put the phone down I have now tried from 3 different phones and am very annoyed.
