Spam calls, asking if you wish to claim regarding your accident! Getting on my nerves, Kettering based number.

Sick and tired of this person phoning me. When I pick up they just put the phone down. Can't understand what they get out of it!

Asian sounding company keep phoning saying they are doing marketing, then proceed to ask a string of questions about age, marital status, life insurance, phone provider, IT provider, TV package provider. I kept saying I didn t want any more phone calls and where this information was going, he kept ignoring me and asking the same questions saying they would not contact again but wouldn t say that they would not pass the information on to other parties. This telephone number keeps ringing for my partner and when I say he is out and can I take a message, they reply no, I will again another time.

I received a call saying I had won a photoshoot worth ?250 for myself and a friend. I never enter these sort of competitions so was suspicious. The lady tried to get me to make a booking but said I could change it at a later date if needed. I refused to commit and said I needed more time. She offered to ring back after the weekend but stressed that there may not be any more places left!

The number is fake. London numbers don t start with a 1 after the city code of 020, although there is a real payday loan company called Lending Stream.

Didn t answer the call and came here to check the number. Lots of these apparently foreign numbers are actually originating in the UK by using software diallers that mask the caller s true location.As other posters suggest, a good rule of thumb is - if the number looks suspicious it probably is.

Indian sounding gentleman saying I had a problem with my internet. Wanting me to turn my computer on. I gave him a reason I could not do this he then wanted to know when he could phone back. Tried putting him off but very insistant. So with any luck I wont be here when he calls next

The number is an Aldershot number. Called and spoke to my young son asking for a Mr Rogers. Rang again the following morning. He was a polite enough guy but he wouldn t tell me anything. Quite obvious it was a debt collection agency. I asked him why he was still ringing when he was told the previous day there was no-one of that name against my home number and actually I had my number for over 11 years. He told me he was going to remove my number from his list. Very apologetic. We ll see......
