Called me up (I was selling a motorbike on aurtotrader), said he was keen on the bike (only having seen the ad). Then asked for my bank details to pay me a deposit. At the time I thought that was ok, but on reflection why would he give a deposit on a bike he hadn't seen? Also wanted to do it in a hurry, so something not quite right. Not saying a scam, could be innocent but felt a bit weird.
This phone number is not one I know, it seems to be a sperilous bogus numer with a computer phoning numbers from bought lists.
This was a fictional number used in the drama series EastEnders for the Slater Household in 2002. It may have since been allocated to a genuine customer or business.

Definitely a call center from background noise and when you call back the number goes straight back to that operater without company name total scam

They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Got a call from 07477139663 claiming to be HMRC and stated that a letter from them was not delivered and I will be persecuted unless I press 1 to speak to an agent... I am not convinced this is how HMRC operates so I hung up. Second time this has happened within the last week
Called twice but left no VM not a known number and I do not use my landline unless family call me or give my number out.
It’s a scam, claimed to be from a bank and not enough funds in bank to complete transactions. Very bad line and eventually the caller hung up, daughter rang number back and it’s not recognised.

This following is clearly obvious “Royal Mail were in Strike on the 24th Dec”. These stupid Thieving Clowns.
