SCAM / SPAM: Pretended to be from Sky offering discount on equipment insurance. Asked for my wife's maiden name - not listed on Sky account.
Automated call. When I picked up, heard automated message, as if from a voicemail service, saying " your call cannot be taken at the moment, please call later".... hung up immediately.
Quite clearly an Ambulance Chaser allegedly from National Accident Investigation saying that I had an accident which was not my fault. Where do they get their information and why is it that the Information Commissions Office does not stamp out these nuisance calls. The caller would not take no for an answer until I swore and shouted down the phone when he hung up.

Be careful. I believe this is phishing cold calling because they didn’t even know my name. Any real fraud cases, especially financially motivates would be done properly. This number rang today but hung up part way through the answerphone message. After reading comments here and elsewhere, I rang and asked for our number to be removed from their database. The guy I spoke to was happy to do this and also happy to tell me that the third party from whom they receive numbers is Communications Avenue. Looks like these are the people we should really be shutting down. A quick Googke shows that they re based in Newark.

Left voicemail twice saying from MHRC and was filing law suit. I called back and asked who they were, said his name was Olivier and was case officer at HMRC. Asked him where he was calling from, he said 100 Parliament Street, London. I said I doubted that. He said f**k off motherf**ker and hung up!
