Text Message Possible Royal Mail scam
Female caller asks whether I ve been in an accident (FYI - this is not a real person, just a very cleverly recorded message that is only triggered by the words Hello and Yes ) put through to a bloke asking whether I d been in an car accident...pretended to not hear him very well and wound him up a bit before he put the phone down on me!
I have been done out of 600 and they are constantly fobbing me off and telling they will call back.

Different numbers starting with 020 8894 keep calling me and when I don't pick up they never leave a message. It's a number that purports to be in Trafalgar Square, but is in fact an Indian call centre.
My daughter receives nasty and offensive messages from that number couple of times. Some of them sounded quite dangerous.

This is a scam caller pretending to be from a Lyca phone provider offering cheap contracts, the company they are pretending to be are Mobiles.co.uk. They tried offering me a £35 contact for 24 months for a Samsung S23 ultra, which was too good to be true worked out at (£840.00). I explained I did not trust cold callers, so they asked me for an email address. They sent me the email which looked genuine. But it had a different number to the one one the official website. This number rang my mobile and I usually dont pick up unrecognised numbers but my partner is in hospital therefore I did but didn't speak, line stayed quiet from other end for about 10/15s then hung up!

This number is not secure, it is scammers pretending to be from O2, offering a 50% discount off your monthly bill. Tempting, obviously. They say a text will be sent to confirm this, followed by another text with a code to activate the offer. They will then ask you to repeat the code to them BUT doing this will allow them to take control over your account and possibly other info on your phone. Something didn't feel right so when they rang back for the code I didn't answer but googled O2 scams. Beware.
