The send you a text stating that there is an issue with your last Three mobile payment. My 17 year old daughter clicked on the link and 'Updated' her details. A couple of hours later her bank rang her to say she had attempted to purchase car tyres to the value of £650.00 luckily, she only had about £10 in her account at the time. Still very inconvenient having to have her account cancelled and to wait for a new card to be issued.

They do announce themselves to contact customers on behalf of EON and are not actually EON.I am sure eon knows about it despite they deny they use such call centres. I think this is a scam number. Recorded American accent saying HMRC and that a fine would be implemented and to press 1 to speak to someone. Obviously I didn’t, line then went dead !!

It seems as though this could be a nuisance caller. My husband and I have both had calls from this number today, on our mobiles, while on holiday in France. It's slightly worrying, as we have many friends and relatives in the Manchester area. Our phones silence any unknown numbers but as no voicemail messages were left we are assuming the calls weren't important.
Internet Claimed to be from plusnet....knew my full name and address and said they could get me a better deal. The line was very bad and I found it hard to understand the accent. He assured me it would only take a few minutes, which I said I couldn't spare...so he gave up. Plusnet do not have the number he called on

No longer do I speak when I answer a number not familiar. If it's a cold call, they will speak first. If it's someone who knows me, they will speak if I don't. This one just hung up, so I can deduce it was an unsolicited and unwanted call and blocked them.
