According to UoB website this number shouldn't be calling for student fundraising so this is likely a scam. "Our Student Fundraisers will call you from 0121 678 1000, but please note that this number is outgoing only. SCAM Pretending to be HMRC and calling about an incident that could lead to National Insurance Number cancellation.
I ve been called daily by this number but I have a call blocker on my android phone called "Truecaller" (I am not a salesman) which filtered it straight away. It does have apps but is very effective for nuisance callers. Hope this helps.
